Bugeye Restoration

The three sail bateau sail-plan evolved from the traditional Log Canoe, Brogan and Bugeye workboat rigs so JOLLY DOLPHIN spent several days at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum to witness the next step in the restoration of their historic nine-log bugeye. Thursday morning the riggers placed the EDNA LOCKWOOD on the marine railway so she can have time to swell up and close the seams between the logs before rigging and floating free in October.
