Out of the water for two week’s of work at Gibson Island Boatworks. Annual bottom and bi-annual topsides painting. This year we are using Marshal’s Cove Marine Paint on the recommendation of a boatwright in St. Michael’s, Maryland.
This year’s longer term project is to check on and renew the cotton and oakum in the seam between the ends of the cross-planking and the keelson.
The previous keelson caulking that we did was in 2010 before JOLLY DOLPHIN was turned upright again.
